Kate Middleton wowed in a pink gown at a charity gala last night and it was the perfect colour for the day of love ahead.
The Duchess of Cambridge looked stunning as she arrived to attend the 100 Women in Finance Ball at the Victoria & Albert Museum.
And her delicate pink, Gucci gown was fitting for Valentine’s Day.
Kate beamed as she arrived at the venue. Despite the chilly night, she didn’t opt for a coat. She was also wearing her sparkling Oscar de la Renta heels, which she has worn on occasions before.
The 37-year-old royal took her time to greet guests and chat before making her way inside.
Kate attended without husband William on the night, which was in aid of Mentally Healthy Schools. It is Kate who has been named patron of the 100 Women in Finance’s Philanthropic Initiatives.
The Duchess gave a moving speech during the evening. She said: “The first few years of a child’s life are more pivotal for social, physical and emotional development, and for future health and happiness than any single moment in our lifetime.”
The mum-of-three has previously spoken of her passion for children’s mental wellbeing.
She wrote an essay for the Huffington Post, which read: “The mental health of our children must be seen as every bit as important as their physical health.
“For too long we have been embarrassed to admit when our children need emotional or psychiatric help, worried that the stigma associated with these problems would be detrimental to their futures.”

When Kate departed the event she was carrying a sweet posy of flowers as she walked along and waved, before getting into her car.

The gala was the second special evening out for the Duchess in the last week.
Kate and William also enjoyed an evening at the BAFTA awards on Sunday, where Kate paid tribute to Princess Diana with her outfit.
