The Duchess of Sussex’s due date is edging closer and final preparations are being put in place for the birth of the new royal arrival.
Meghan’s mother Doria Ragland will reportedly be flying over from Los Angeles to be by her daughter’s side for the birth.
According to reports, 37-year-old Meghan won’t give birth in the traditional location for royals, and she has chosen a different doctor to oversee the important day.

A source told The Mirror: “Doria should be here for the birth and will be staying. But then she has to get back to her dogs and work.”
Meghan and Harry may also break with tradition when it comes to presenting their child to the world following the birth.
In the past, royal women, including Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton, have had their babies at the Lindo Wing in St Mary’s hospital in London. They have then had the first pictures of their children taken on the steps outside.
However, 34-year-old Harry and Meghan are relocating from Kensington Palace in the capital to Frogmore Cottage in Windsor.
They are moving into their new home, following months of renovations, in preparation for their little one’s arrival.
A source told The Sun: “This child will not be born at the Lindo.
“The talk of all the senior clinicians there is that Meghan doesn’t want to copy what Kate did.”
According to the publication, the royal couple, who wed last May, are hoping for a more private birth.
The insider added: “Harry and Meghan realise there is intense public interest but this baby is not a direct heir to the throne and they want the birth to be as private as possible.”
There is talk that Meghan may have their child at Frimley Hospital in Windsor, which is just a 25-minute car journey from their new home.
Meanwhile, the Mail on Sunday reports that Meghan has hired an unnamed female doctor to oversee the birth.

The Queen’s doctors Alan Farthing and Guy Thorpe-Beeston, who were present for the birth of Kate’s three children, are believed not to be playing such a prominent role.
The Duchess is believed to be expecting at the end of this month.
