Corrie viewers spotted a hilarious mistake in last night’s visit to the cobbles, when Maria Connor’s son, Liam, was seen playing on a games console without the controller turned on.
Liam had been sent home from school early after being caught playing with electrical sockets, but before his mum could give the lad a telling off, he was seen playing a game while Maria called work.
As Maria chatted to Audrey to tell her she wouldn’t be able to come back to work at the salon now that she had Liam to look after, her son was seen lounging on the sofa in his school uniform.
While he played the game, all the right noises were coming from the television, but it didnt take long for viewers to notice that the controller that he was using didn’t have the blue light lit that usually indicates that it’s turned on.
Fans took to social media to share their detective work – all finding the gaffe funny.
Other fans even spotted that perhaps the controller wasn’t the correct one to be used with the game that Liam was supposed to be playing.
But whether or not he was playing his game correctly was the least of little Liam’s problems.
It wasn’t long before Maria started demanding answers about why he was playing with electrical sockets, telling him: “I’ve told you this before Liam it’s really dangerous doing that.”
But the mum was surprised when he told her that he was trying to be like his Uncle Craig…
“I was just trying to keep them safe like Uncle Craig, it magic, it’s me and Craig’s secret.”
Baffled by Liam’s response, Maria is set to do some digging into Craig’s behaviour. But will she realise what’s happening and get him the help he needs?
