Eamonn Holmes has admitted it’s “hard to stand up” amid his health woes as he shared an update with fans today.

The GB News presenter, 64, posted a picture to Instagram of himself stood up as he leaned against a door frame.

Eamonn, who recently announced his split from his wife of 14 years Ruth Langsford, admitted he was struggling with his health as he attended a birthday party on Sunday (July 7).

Recently, Eamonn admitted he felt he was on “borrowed time” as he attended the TRIC Awards.

Over the last few years, the former This Morning presenter has suffered a string of health issues. He has had numerous falls, operations and lives in chronic pain.

Earlier this week, Eamonn was forced to exit an interview on GB News after falling unwell.

Eamonn and co-host Isabel Webster were speaking to Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Mental Health Maria Caulfield.

Isabel was seen asking questions to their guest as Eamonn remained silent. However, halfway through the interview, Eamonn was nowhere to be seen.

Isabel then hosted the final 90 minutes of the show alone.

Eamonn’s reps later explained: “Eamonn had to finish a little earlier today as he was feeling unwell. He hopes to be back tomorrow.”

In May, the presenter and Loose Women star Ruth, 64, announced their separation.

Ruth and Eamonn split

It’s been claimed that Ruth has felt ‘hurt’ over Eamonn being supported by a few female friends.

Eamonn recently expressed his hope that he and Ruth can be friends in the future, however.

At the TRIC Awards, he told the Mirror: “It’s too early to say but I hope we can still be friends.”
