Eamonn Holmes has paid tribute to his parents and shared an old photo of them on social media, telling fans he still thinks about his late dad ‘every day’.
On Instagram, the This Morning host, 60, posted a black and white snap of his mum Josephine and dad Leonard.
What did Eamonn Holmes post about his parents?
In the caption, the daytime TV favourite praised his “amazing” mum and said he thinks he looks like her.
And he also said that despite the fact his dad passed away three decades ago, he’s still on Eamonn’s mind all the time.

He wrote in the caption: “No reason to post this pic except I just came across it and it’s my mum and dad.
“Daddy died 30 years ago and I think of him every day. Mum (who I think I look like) is in her 92nd year and is simply amazing.”

In the comments, fans agreed that there was a stark likeness between Eamonn and his mother.

Eamonn recalled the loss of his father in This Is My Life, his 2006 autobiography.
The presenter’s dad suffered a fatal heart attack at the age of 65 as he drove through the Northern Irish countryside.
Eamonn wrote, as reported by The Sun: “When [family friend John Linehan] got to the car, Daddy was still in the driver’s seat. Mum had already flagged someone down who telephoned for help.
“[My brother] Conor, loyal to the end, took on the role of an adult and was still on the back seat, leaning over holding on to his dad.”

He continued: “He grew up a lot that night. Realising his distress, John steered him away from what was going on. He then knelt beside Dad.”
Writing further, Eamonn said John kept talking to Leonard until he lost consciousness – and when the paramedics arrived, it was too late.
