Eamonn Holmes ‘throws shade’ at Richard Madeley over his ‘orange’ fake tan fail

Richard was mocked for his orange fake tan

Eamonn Holmes has appeared to mock Richard Madeley for his fake tan on today’s Good Morning Britain.

Richard, 62, apologised for his “pumpkin-like” orange tan as viewers poked fun at the presenter on Twitter.

During Wednesday’s This Morning, Eamonn appeared to make a joke about Richard’s tan as his wife Ruth Langsford asked what his favourite beauty tip is.

Eamonn replied: “Drink plenty of water and don’t use false tan to excess. That’s what I’d say,” as the studio erupted into laughter.

He added: “Some people,” before shaking his head as Ruth moved on with the show.

Viewers were amused by Eamonn’s quip and shared their thoughts on Twitter.

One person said: “Eamonn throwing shade over Richard Madeley’s fake tan.”

Another wrote: “Eamonn Holmes dragging Richard Madley over his fake tan!”

It comes after Richard spoke about his tan during today’s Good Morning Britain.

He said: “It’s looking a bit orange today. It can only be make-up I think?

“There is a tan underneath it. Sorry everybody if it’s a bit pumpkin-like! I’ll take it down. I’ll wash it off.”

Viewers were quick to jokingly mock Richard over his tan.

Many people compared Richard’s fake bake efforts to that of President Donald Trump, who of course hasn’t been seen without a spray tan in decades.

One Twitter user wrote: “Richard Madeley with his quiff & (fake) tan is starting to look like Donald Trump!” and another joked: “#richardmadeley is a funny shade of Trump this Morning.”

Many even critiqued his fake-tanning technique. Some pointed out that Richard seemed to have forgotten to spray his ears, as they appeared multiple shades lighter than his bronzed face.

A user complained the close-ups of Richard were ‘cruel’ writing: “Stop showing Richard in profile, it is cruelly exposing his fake tan with his white ear,” and a second claimed: “Richard’s ear is 10 shades paler than the rest of his face.”
