Eamonn Holmes has appeared to like tweets criticising ITV for airing a tribute to Phillip Schofield on his 40th anniversary in TV.
Phillip and Eamonn reportedly haven’t spoken since it was announced that the latter was leaving This Morning to host GB News.
Eamonn Holmes ‘likes tweet’ slamming ITV tribute to Phillip Schofield
ITV paid tribute to Phillip today (Monday, February 21) as he celebrated his 40th year on television.
The star had a whole episode of Lorraine dedicated to his monumental achievement today. Phillip’s co-stars, and other celebrities, called in to congratulate the star.
However, some viewers found the whole thing “inconsiderate” following the news that Loose Women star, Brenda Edwards, had lost her son, Jamal, yesterday.

“ITV doing damage limitation for their number one this morning whilst another member of their team has lost her son, quite inconsiderate really,” one viewer tweeted.
“This #lorraine show is bizarre.. why not celebrate 40 years on #thismorning instead of another show?” another said.
Eamonn Holmes and Phillip Schofield’s feud
The tweets were liked by a number of Twitter users – including Eamonn as his Twitter account shows.
Eamonn and Phillip have reportedly not spoken since Eamonn departed This Morning back in November.
The 62-year-old Northern Irish presenter was on This Morning for 14 years before he took up a role hosting the breakfast show on GB News.
A source told OK! magazine back in January that Phillip and Eamonn never really saw “eye-to-eye” when on This Morning.
“Phillip hasn’t contacted Eamonn since leaving This Morning, which is a bit of a shame,” the source said.
“Eamonn felt like Phillip didn’t really like him.”
What else has been said about the stars?
This isn’t the first time that Eamonn has taken a swipe at his former employers, and his former co-star too.
The 62-year-old took a swipe at Phillip during an interview with the Daily Mail’s Weekend magazine.
The presenter was referencing an incident that happened back in 2019 when Phillip cut Ruth Langsford off when she was promoting that day’s Loose Women whilst on This Morning.
“Phillip is renowned for snubbing people,” Eamonn said.

“He’s very passive-aggressive. It’s up to Ruth to say how she felt, but I was feeling hurt for her,” he continued.
In the same interview, he took a swipe at ITV too, saying he was never given a reason for being dropped.
He said: “They didn’t want to announce that I’d been dropped because it would adversely affect audience figures, so they made it look as if I’d walked away from them rather than the other way round.”
However, a spokesperson for ITV told ED!: “This isn’t a version of events that we recognise and as we have said before we wish Eamonn all of the very best.”
