EastEnders’ fans find Robbie Jackson’s heartache hilarious

He's missing his 'doner'

EastEnders fans usually take to social media to air their views about shock storylines or complain about the latest twist in the Stuart Highway saga, but not last night.

Yesterday evening’s trip to Walford left fans in stitches after Robbie Jackson spent the whole episode moping around in the wake of girlfriend Donna leaving the Square on Friday.

But it was the moment that Robbie could be seen staring at a kebab shop sign that had viewers falling off their chairs.

Poor, heartbroken Robbie was found by sister Sonia looking longingly at the flashing ‘doner kebab’ sign, and at first a concerned Sonia thought Robbie was just feeling a bit peckish.

But it turns out that the flashing ‘doner’ sign had got him thinking about his ex girlfriend. Poor Rob!

Sonia was quick to point out his mistake by telling him: “Oh Robbie, it’s not even spelt the same!”

But while Sonia’s spelling lesson failed to put a smile on Robbie’s face, EastEnders fans took to Twitter in their droves to share their delight…

Earlier in the episode Kush and Martin were given the task of getting devastated Robbie off the sofa and back out to face the world.

But just when it looked like things were going well as he mended his broken heart with bacon sandwich, Rainie arrived at the cafe with a huge smile on her face, clearly enjoying the fact rival Donna was gone.

With his one chance at romance now in the gutter, is that the end of romance for Robbie?

Or could there be an unsuspecting Walford lady waiting in the wings to help the market cleaner move on?

EastEnders airs Monday and Friday at 8pm and Tuesday and Thursday at 7.30pm on BBC One.
