EastEnders fans are more convinced than ever that an affair is on the cards for Mick Carter and his daughter-in-law Whitney.
The idea of the two of them getting together was first talked about last year after Whitney kissed him.
But it was quickly dismissed as Mick and his wife Linda seemed solid and unbreakable.
Of course, that was while Linda was actually living under the same roof as her husband. Now she’s in Watford caring for her sick mother, Elaine, Mick’s been left all on his own.
As well as being lonely, Mick’s money worries are mounting up.
Son Lee left the Carters in all sorts of debt after robbing the family business, the roof’s sprung several leaks, and Mick’s got a massive fine to pay for serving alcohol outside of licensing hours.
And who’s been by his side supporting him through it all? Whitney.

But with Whitney living in her and Lee’s marital home all on her own now, Mick has made the decision he needs the deposit money he lent them back and told Jack Whit will be out by the end of the week.
Whitney wasn’t happy at being turfed out of her home at first, but soon came round to the idea when Mick revealed his plan: she’s moving in with him.
Obviously, she won’t just be living with him, the whole Carter clan will be under the one (leaky) roof, but still, it means she’s closer to him than ever.
The pair have already shared more than one kiss, the most recent being after the dramatic bus crash that left Whitney in hospital.
Mick’s tried to nip her growing feelings for him in the bud, but asking her to move in with him isn’t helping with that, is it?!
Fans took to Twitter to express their horror at the new living arrangements.
“EastEnders favourites Mick and Whitney Carter move in together bad idea let’s have at least 1 marriage without cheating” said Miriam Mehr-Ayin.

And Izzy said: “Do you dare Whitney go near Mick keep your hands off Linda come back quick”.
With Grianne Doherty reiterating her point: “Mick & Whitney continue to get closer now she’s moving in. Hurry home Linda”.

Not everyone’s opposed to the idea of these two getting together though.
Laurence Davidson tweeted: “no wonder sly Mick wants Whitney to live in the Vic. He wants her to be his saucy bit on the side [sic]”.

We’re not so sure about that, if we’re honest.

Wherever their relationship goes, it may not last all that long with Danny Dyer set to be off our screens in the coming weeks.
It’s recently been revealed that the actor’s taking a break from filming due to the pressures he’s under.
Despite reports it’s going to be a permanent exit, an EastEnders source told Digital Spy that Danny would only be gone “for a matter of weeks” rather than months.
So does that mean he and Whitney can pick straight up where they left off?
