EastEnders star Jake Wood has shared a photo of him and his co-stars in training as they gear up for this year’s London Marathon.
Jake shared the snap to his Instagram page showing him pictured with Tanya Franks (Rainie Cross), Jane Skaughter (Tracey) Natalie Cassidy (Sonia Fowler), Kellie Shirley (Carly Wicks), and Dame Barbara Windsor’s husband Scott Mitchell.
He wrote alongside it: “Fantastic morning with these beauties filming for @dementiarevolutionuk.”

Jake and his co-stars are among those running the marathon to raise money in support of Dementia Revolution UK following Peggy Mitchell actress Barbara’s diagnosis of Alzheimer’s.
They hope to raise £100,000 for the charity. Adam Woodyatt (Ian Beale), Emma Barton (Honey Mitchell), and Jamie Borthwick (Jay Mitchell) are also involved.
Barbara has recorded a video asking people to donate to the cause.
Jake appeared on Good Morning Britain earlier this year alongside Scott, where he told presenters Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid: “Barbara is much loved by all the cast at EastEnders. We wanted to do something to raise money and raise awareness of the condition.”
Jake wrote on Twitter: “So proud to be supporting dementia revolution with Barbara’s husband Scott & the team from EastEnders.”
The charity tweeted a video of the group training, writing: “Introducing Barbara’s Revolutionaries! The team are taking on the @VirginMoney #LondonMarathon for the #DementiaRevolution in support of Dame Barbara Windsor. Help them raise £100k to power ground-breaking dementia research.”

They also shared the link where you can donate here – and they’ve raised over £50k so far!
Earlier this week, Ross Kemp, who played Barbara’s on-screen son, Grant Mitchell, admitted Scott has been finding his wife’s battle tough.

Speaking on Lorraine, he revealed: “[Barbara’s] okay. Obviously she has Alzheimer’s and it’s progressively degenerative.
“Scott is doing a brilliant job of looking after her. And he’s raising money, he’s running the marathon, go support him if you can.
“Elton John gave £5,000 the other day, which was very nice.
“But obviously when I speak to him, you can tell, it’s hard.
“What they’ve done, the most important thing they’ve done, is they’ve been open about it, and it’s helped other people to talk openly about it.”
