Jay Brown hasn’t exactly been lucky in love since his misjudged romance with underage Linzi back in 2016 landed him on the sex offenders list.
But Billy Mitchell decides it’s time things changed next week when he bags his housemate a date.
But sadly for Jay the date isn’t much of a success when he gets stood up and he finds himself right back at square one.

But fear not, cupid Billy has got another plan up his sleeve!
As the pair try to find a new housemate after Donna’s sudden departure last week, Billy puts his plan for romance into action as they interview potential roomies.
What Jay doesn’t realise is that Billy has doctored the advert for Donna’s room to help Jay meet more women.
Luckily for Jay one of the candidates is a huge hit, and it isn’t long before newcomer Jessica is moving in.
Despite the undertaker being reluctant to reveal he is on the sex offenders list, Jessica doesn’t seem too worried and it looks like there could be a budding romance in the pipeline.
But sadly for Jay, things aren’t all as they seem with Jessica.
Billy gets suspicious of their new flatmate when she goes to visit a ‘friend’ on the Square – but who does she have a mysterious connection to and how?
Jay is gutted when Jessica decides to move out, having no idea that her sudden departure is actually because of the secret Billy has unearthed.
But while Jessica agrees to keep the real reason for leaving so quickly from Jay, her silence, of course, comes at a price.
She blackmails Billy into handing over some cash, but as always in Walford nothing stays secret for long.
