Sean Slater is returning to EastEnders in what is set to be one of the most explosive comebacks in recent years.
While the BBC soap has revealed very little about his imminent return, we know the rogue character will abduct Amy Branning – lying to her that her dead mum sent him.

His dramatic storyline will kick off next week, when Stacey Slater gets in contact with her brother in a bid to tell him about his mum Jean’s horrible cancer diagnosis.
In emotional scenes last week, Jean made a bucket list before undergoing her first round of chemotherapy.
Of course, a desire to see her long lost son Sean was top of the things Jean wants to do before she dies.

Desperately trying to help her mum, Stacey realises it’s all she can do to make her mum happy so she calls him up – but their conversation puts her in a very difficult position afterwards.
Sean now knows about Jean’s cancer but still doesn’t appear to want to come back, so Stacey has no good news for her mum.
In the EastEnders Spring 2019 trailer, we see an angry Stacey tell her mum: “Let me tell you something about Sean.
“I called him last week, and he knows you have cancer. Yeah, he knows mum.”
Later, we see Sean arriving in Albert Square, and Jean telling him: “I thought getting cancer would be the worse thing in the world, but it’s bought you back to me.”
Sean, played by Rob Kazinsky, was last seen in Albert Square 10 years ago.
Although EastEnders bosses are keeping tight-lipped about the actual date of Sean’s comeback, we know it’s very soon.
While Sean will be back in Walford to reunite with Jean, early spoilers for the soap see Sean looking a little worse for wear, while sleeping rough in a car and working in a stable.
Teasing what fans can expect from Sean’s return, executive producer Jon Sen said: “We wanted to show just how close that bond is between mother and son.
“And we’re telling the story that, yes, Jean’s cancer has been terrible for her but, in a way, has been one of the best things that’s ever happened to her because it’s shown her inner-courage and it’s brought back her son.”
We also know that Sean will soon clash with his old nemesis Jack Branning, too. Bring it on!
