Emma Willis is a devoted mum-of-three and a true professional when it comes to her TV presenting work.
But some situations are too intense even for the Big Brother presenter to deal with.
The 42-year-old had been filming her latest TV show, Emma Willis: Delivering Babies, where she underwent training as a maternity care assistant at the Princess Alexandra Hospital in Harlow, Essex, when she passed out.

Emma was working eight to 13-hour shifts in her role, and had been in an operating theatre watching a mum have an assisted delivery when she was transported back to one of her own birth experiences.
Speaking to the Daily Mail’s You Magazine, Emma revealed the moment she passed out after having a “deep response” to the woman’s situation – even though the mum-to-be had herself asked Emma in advance if she was sure she wanted to watch.
“One minute I was standing in this operating theatre completely transfixed,” Emma told the paper. “Next thing I knew I was coming round having hit the deck, a row of blue hospital-issue Crocs slowly coming into focus.
“I wanted to understand and witness what I’d been through – knowledge is power – but the subconscious reaction of my body was total horror.”
Emma – who is married to former Busted singer Matt Willis – herself endured a forceps delivery in theatre after a long and difficult labour with her first child, her daughter Isabelle, who is now nine.
And despite passing out watching the other mum’s surgery, Emma said she felt watching it might now give her some sort of closure from her own experience, which left her unable to sit down for 12 weeks post-delivery.
Emma announced she was to start filming the new show back in April, taking to Twitter to share the news.
“I’ve been so excited to announce this!!!! Experiencing what it’s like to be a midwife is a dream come true!” she wrote.
Her three-month stint at the hospital saw her doing everything a real maternity assistant would, from learning how to take blood, to cleaning beds and making patients’ tea.
And despite it being a far cry from the glamorous world of TV, Emma said it was one of the best things she had ever done, and that she loved it.
She has previously made no secret of her desire to be present at a birth, and in an interview with the Daily Star back in March, Emma said that delivering a baby was actually on her bucket list!

“I want to deliver a baby, or at least see a delivery,” she said. “I think it would be incredible to witness. I missed mine because I was at the other end. I need my little sister to have a baby, really. I could be her birthing partner.”
Emma is a mum to three children, daughter Isabelle, son Ace, six, and two-year-old daughter Trixie.
Emma Willis: Delivering Babies airs on W Channel on October 22.
