Presenter Emma Willis has opened up in a new interview about how her three children tell her she is the “boring” parent, compared to her “fun” husband, Matt Willis.
Speaking in a YouTube video to beauty vloggers Sam Chapman and Nic Haste of Pixiwoo, Emma, 41, confesses: “I’m the boring one – they tell me! Dad’s ‘fun’.
“They come to me for love and cuddles, but if they want to play, they’re like, ‘No thanks, mum!'”
When told she was a “cool” mum, Emma laughed: “Not to them!”
Emma, who is mum to Isabelle, Ace and Trixie, said: “I find myself saying all the time, ‘Yeah, I’ll be there in a minute, I’ve just got to go and do this…’
“I’ve tried to stop myself from doing that, and just forget about that stuff for a minute and play with them.
“[But] it’s very easy to get carried away with doing things at home. At some point you have to put a cap on it and just play with them!”
Emma added that she can struggle with the pressure associated with being a mum, saying: “It is hard because you constantly have that guilt.
“Especially in busy periods where you’re out day and night, and you’re just dying for the weekend so you can have a little bit of time with them.
“And their little faces are looking at you going, ‘Are you home tonight, mummy?’ And I’m like, ‘Yeah, but you’ll be in bed when I get back’.”
“There’s no right or wrong,” she said. “There’s no way to do it that’s 100% right. Even when you are there, you can’t really give 100% to everything, because you’re pulling yourself in all directions.”
But The Celebrity Big Brother host also insisted she wouldn’t change her busy career.
She said: “I love my kids more than anything in the world, but I love working, and I like the fact that I can do both.
“For my head, I just need that day or two a week, or a few hours a day, to just re-gather my thoughts and think like an adult, rather than just: toys, poo, milk, arguments, dolls, clearing the toys up, make everyone’s beds.
“It’s a selfish period in the week.”
Emma added: “The good thing is that they’ve never known any different so they can’t miss it. And when I have time off, I have a lot of time off, so I’m with them so much and they love that.”
She added that being a mum is “100%” the hardest job.

The interview was to promote The Voice presenter teaming up with Eylure to create her own range of false eyelashes.
And Emma, who has been married to former Busted singer Matt, 34, for almost ten years, admitted she based the designs on her own family.
“My husband and my kids are so blessed in the lash department, it’s so unfair, it’s so annoying,” she told Pixiwoo.
She says the lashes inspired by her eldest, Isabelle, eight, are “gorgeous lashes, but they’re just very natural. They’re fluttery, they are dark. They’re just the perfect amount of daytime lash that you would like.”
Emma added that her son, Ace, six, has the thickest eyelashes, saying: “He has amazing, long, thick, dark lashes.”
The third in the eyelash set is based on her baby, Trixie, who is one. Emma explained: “She was asleep, after I’d fed her and I was just taking pictures of her eyelashes and zooming in and then sending them off to the lady at Eylure and saying, ‘This is what I want to make, can you base something on this?'”
