Roxanne Pallett has thrown in the towel part-way through the nationwide tour of The Wedding Singer UK musical.
The former Emmerdale actress was playing the part of Holly in the stage adaptation of the 1998 movie that starred Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore.
The show has run for 11 weeks so far, and was planned to continue for another five months, but now Roxanne has quit without any explanation.
She posted a black and white photo of herself on stage with her back to the camera, facing an empty theatre, and captioned it: “I came. I saw. I conquered.”

A source told The Sun: “Roxanne was hugely popular on and off stage yet something major must have happened.
“It’s not a decision she would have made lightly. Roxy was an amazing asset to the show but members of the cast were heard saying she had no choice but to leave and they supported her.
Adding: “The team are trying to find a replacement for her now.
“She’s left the country and is taking some time out.”
According to reports, she walked away from the show last month, and her photo has been removed from all of the musical’s advertising and promotion boards.
Her fans have gone on her Twitter page and wished her well.
One said:”It won’t be the same without you girl ❤️❤️❤️🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥”.

“Hope you’re alright love, take care of yourself x”, said one worried fan of the actress.
A third added: “And you were amazing! Keep your head up, thoughts positive cause things have a way of always working out. Hope to see you back onstage soon💜”.
The soap star is yet to address any of the rumours, but we hope she’s OK.
