Emmerdale’s Gemma Atkinson, aka Carly Hope, has revealed she’s landed a new job hosting Key 103 Manchester’s breakfast show.
The actress has made a number of guest appearances on the show in recent months and must have impressed bosses with her performance because they’ve made the gig permanent.
But does that mean she’s leaving Emmerdale? No chance!
Speaking to Manchester Evening news alongside her new co-hosts Matt Haslam and Mike Toolan, she revealed she would juggle both jobs in a feat of good forward planning and commitment.

“It will mean lots of coffee, and lots of the M62, but I can’t wait.
“Emmerdale have been great, and I feel really fortunate to be able to combine both.
“I’ll sleep when I’m dead!”
Broadcasting from 6am until 10am every day, she’ll then jump in the car and head across the Pennines where she’ll film Emmerdale until 7pm.

Before taking to the airwaves, Gemma also revealed to the paper that she “jumped at the chance” to join the breakfast show full-time.
“It’s a great team, Mike and Matt have been great, the whole vibe here I’ve really enjoyed,
“The fact that I’m local as well I feel I can bring something to it.
“I just feel really lucky and grateful that they asked.
“I’ve been friends with Mike now for ten years, so there’s a natural banter there, and Matt, we’re from the same background and we’re very similar in our ways.

“We’re just like three mates hanging out.”
Gemma’s even set to have her own segment ‘Gemma’s dilemma’ where she plays agony aunt to listeners and tries to solve their problems.
We reckon it’ll be early to bed for her from now on.
