Real-life couple Laura Norton and Mark Jordon have had some seriously big scenes in Emmerdale recently, but don’t think that knowing each other inside and out off-screen makes filming any easier.
Laura recently admitted during a chat with the Loose Women panel that working with her boyfriend definitely came with it’s drawbacks.
In the soap Laura plays Kerry Wyatt, the usually bubbly girlfriend of Dan Spencer, who has understandably lost her spark ever since Amelia went missing a month ago.

Amelia disappeared from her bedroom after discovering that Daz, the man who she thought was her uncle, was actually her father.
Dan, who has raised Amelia believing she was his daughter, not his niece, was devastated when she went missing, and there hasn’t been a lot of information on her whereabouts since for the worried uncle.
Viewers know that Amelia has actually been taken by Beth, the daughter of a man Daz killed while he was in the army, but Kerry and Dan have no idea and think that Daz is the one who kidnapped the teenager.
Talking about the storyline, Laura said: “It’s been brilliant to film, there’s a lot of twists and turns.
“The first scene of the day, I had to go in and attack Mark, who plays Daz in the show, because he’s a suspect.”
But she went on to say that getting violent with her real-life boyfriend isn’t an easy day at work.

“It was 7 o’clock in the morning, first scene of the day, very emotional, very wordy, had lots of words.
“And I had to get really physical, and it’s really hard at that time in the morning to just go – boom, I’m crying my eyes out.
“It was a bit weird. I took the stage directions literally, just for safety. We’re up against a wall – he said ‘practice on me’ – and I couldn’t stop laughing, so we didn’t get to do it once without laughing.”
Tonight’s Emmerdale double bill sees Daz still desperately worried about how he is going to raise the funds to pay Amelia’s kidnapper the ransom money.
He comes face-to-face with his daughter for the first time in weeks, but does this mean Amelia will be coming home to safety today?

Laura and Mark recently enjoyed a trip to New York, and delighted fans by sharing snaps of them enjoying the sights of the American City on social media.
In one picture they could be seen at the top of the Empire State Building, and in another post they shared a photo of themselves outside famous restaurant The Red Lobster.
Emmerdale continues tonight at 7pm on ITV for an hour-long episode.
