After his 2018 arrest for drink-driving, Ant McPartlin has returned to work on Saturday Night Takeaway.
Following his arrest in March last year, the popular show was taken off air for a week, before his presenting partner Declan Donnelly was forced to host the rest of the series alone.
Saturday Night Takeaway was then removed from the schedules this year, allowing Ant to recover from his addiction to booze and prescription painkillers.
Sharing a picture to Instagram, the TV host – who is in the middle of a lengthy divorce battle with ex-wife Lisa Armstrong – said he was “excited” to be back.

The caption read: “First meeting for Saturday Night Takeaway 2020…exciting times!”
Ashley Roberts was one of the first to reply. She said: “Go on boys!”
Others said they “couldn’t wait” for the show to return.

One fan of the show said: “YYYEEEEESSSSSS!!!!! I’m soooo excited this is back!”
Another echoed the same sentiment and said: “Yay! I can’t wait for that show to start. I’m so happy and excited right now.”
Ant returned to work on Britain’s Got Talent in January, where the audience are reported to have given him a standing ovation.
And, after being replaced on I’m A Celebrity by Holly Willoughby last year, Ant will return to host the show alongside his old pal Dec this autumn.
