The two reality shows went head-to-head

Big Brother kicked off its 18th series at 8:30pm on Channel 5 last night and of course viewers were ecstatic.

ITV2’s Love Island aired shortly after at 9:00pm and it’s caused a frenzy amongst viewers.

How can you choose between the two?!

One viewer wrote on Twitter: “Love island and big brother being on at the same time is such an inconvenience to my life rn.”

“How am I supposed to watch Love Island and Big Brother if they’re both on EVERY NIGHT for weeks,” another ranted.

A third added: “Fuming love island and big brother are on at the same time tbh.”

Another said: “Hate the fact that love island and big brother are on at the same time, fuming.”

The two shows went head-to-head to pull in more viewers but Big Brother managed to come out on top with a whopping 1.32 million.

Love Island wasn’t far off however with 1.2 million.

Emma Willis, 41, fronted Big Brother last night alongside co-star Rylan Clark-Neal, 28.

16 fresh faces headed into the BB house intending to reflect the diversity of modern Britain.

The launch definitely got off to wild start with many of the newbies already familiar to fans.

A large chunk of the line-up have previously appeared on Ex On The Beach and Ibiza Weekender.
