Angry Emmerdale fans are calling for Debbie Dingle to be written out of the soap for arranging an acid attack on Joe Tate.
Fans know that Debbie (played by Charley Webb) is desperate to get revenge on Joe (Ned Porteous) after he used and humiliated her to get back at her mum, Charity.

He also tore down her family’s home, Wishing Well Cottage, almost killing her half brother, Noah, in the process.
This week Debbie will call on local drug dealer and all round wrong’un, Simon, to ‘mess Joe up.’
But it all goes horribly wrong when Simon mistakes Ross Barton for Joe and flings acid at him.
Debbie doesn’t actually tell Simon to use acid in an attack from what we know, but fans of the show don’t care about that with many thinking the character is unredeemable after this.
Ross is rushed to hospital screaming in agony and Debbie is horrified at the consequences of her actions.
The injuries are said to be ‘life-changing’ for Ross and even if he can forgive his ex, it doesn’t look like fans will any time soon.
They’ve taken to Twitter to voice their outrage at the incident and all seem to agree that Debbie must pay.
“Heard Vile Debbie Dingle is planning an acid attack on Joe Tate next week. How can this even be condoned in light of real acid crimes? Hope she gets thrown in jail and out of #emmerdale for good,” raged on irate viewer.
“I don’t care how beloved an @emmerdale character or actor is. #emmerdale may have had the #Dingles getting away with many crimes but it would be irresponsible & disgusting to have Debbie escape jail for deliberately arranging an acid attack,” said another.
A third wrote: “Tbh Joe is a piece of [expletive] but for Debbie to get an acid attack arranged and then for Ross to be accidentally hit instead of Joe is vile. Hope #Emmerdale get Debbie and Joe locked up for it.”
The shocking storyline has already see a backlash from a number of fans worried that featuring an acid attack in a popular soap glorifies it or could lead to copycat incidents.

They are keen to see justice served in this plot – even if it means Debbie paying the consequences.
