Pregnant Gemma Atkinson is already planning opportunities to create unforgettable memories with her unborn child.
The 34-year-old TV personality, expecting her first baby with partner Gorka Marquez, gushed about going abroad with the newborn when it arrives on Instagram earlier today.
And even though some of her one million Insta followers had reservations about holidaying with a tot, many more rushed to support her decision and expressed the belief Gem and Gorka will be fine parents.
Sharing a short video clip of her Strictly beau diving into a swimming pool, former Emmerdale actress Gemma explained the daddy-to-be was away from home working – but was also organising their first family break.

“Miss him most at the weekends ❤️,” she captioned the snap.
“Currently sorting our holiday for next year as a three. #Familia.”
Reacting to other users’ comments about potential problems that can occur when travelling with a very small child, Gemma admitted she was encouraged by the potential for brand new experiences with her brand new family unit.
“Sadly it’s no longer a holiday when you have little ones 😂 It’s parenting in the sunshine ☀️ 🤦🏻♀️,” noted the commenter.

An enthusiastic Gemma replied: “Even better in that case! Had loads of chilled holidays. One with absolute chaos, our baby to care for and new memories to make sounds wonderful! 😊.”
The original commenter replied: “Yes it is ALL of those wonderful things! Enjoy every moment they grow up quick! Best of luck with your new little bundle gorgeous Mumma!”
And as others added their opinions, Gemma opened up about how her mum and her sister had reassured her it is still possible to enjoy a holiday even if a teeny youngster requires constant attention.
Gemma revealed: “They highly recommend holidays with babies and now when I look back at pictures of me aged 1 in Tenerife with my little tan on mum’s knee by the pool it’s so lovely to have the memories 😊.”
Another follower, who agreed “family time is the best” pondered whether it may be that toddlers can prove a tougher test while on holiday.
“Every time I sat down last year my daughter had me straight back up be it to play with her, stop her jumping head first into the pool or to stop her running & falling on slippy pool tiles 🙈,” they wrote.
And another joked it will not be as easy as imagined for the couple to make the most of their time away, commenting: “Ha ha I think they will be in for a shock. Holidays with under 2 = pain.”
However, many more offered anecdotes about why holidaying with a baby is very special – and gave their backing to Gemma to be brilliant at coping.
“Defo take your baby on holiday is so easy when they’re little and not running around everywhere 🤣 we’ve always done it,” urged one fan.
“You two are amazing… Will make fab parents… New memories 💕💕💕,” added another follower.
“You will love it with the three of you,” promised another commenter.
A fourth added: “I think you will be an amazing mum. It is hard work yes but the love you will have for your child will make everything worth it. And this is coming from single mum with two now grown boys, enjoy every moment ♥️.”
A fifth recalled: “My youngest was 10 weeks old on her first holiday to Majorca. Easy. So easy. Do it. It’s when they’re walking it’s harder. Book it and good luck x.”
And yet another supportive follower contributed: “You’re going to be a complete natural I can just tell! Enjoy planning your first holiday as a family of three ☀️ 🌊 🍼 👶🏻.”
