We know that soaps bend reality a little (or a lot) but surely when a character is killed off then they can’t be magically resurrected, right? Well, if a certain former EastEnders star had his way, it could happen!
The character of Trevor Morgan, who was Little Mo’s husband, died in a house fire 15 years ago and was infamous for playing a physically and emotionally abusive monster who abused Mo for years.
Alex Ferns, who played him, was a guest on Loose Women and made a comment that he would return to EastEnders if the actress who played Little Mo, Kacey Ainsworth, would return too.
But how can the character return if he’s dead? We’re not sure either, but it’s good to know we’re not alone in our confusion as viewers took to Twitter to express their bemusement.

One viewer tweeted: “How can you go back, Trevor died didn’t he?” And another said: “I thought Trevor off EastEnders was dead or locked up?”
Looks like we’re not the only ones who didn’t think people could be brought back from the dead, but then again it is soapland.
Alex spoke about getting death threats while he played the vile Trevor character and revealed there were fears for his safety off screen.
He told the panel: “At one stage, I remember the BBC security came to me and said, ‘We can’t have you going out the front gate anymore because there’s a guy who wants to kill you.’ And I said: ‘Well who’s the guy?’ And they went: ‘Well some guy who lives around here, he’s made some threats against you.’
“They used to take me out the back, but I’d say bring him to me and I’ll sort him out!”
He admitted that he used to get letters from people who were going through domestic violence and wanted his advice, but that he didn’t know how to deal with that side of things.
The River City said: “As an actor, I couldn’t really deal with the letters from people who were going through it. I didn’t know how to process it, getting letters from women.
“I’d hand the letters to EastEnders and say that I didn’t know what to say, in case I said something wrong. It was a very tricky but great time.”

When asked if he would ever return to EastEnders he said: “I would never say never, I would always entertain it.
“I would only go back if Kacey went back because the two of us worked so well together.” So did Trevor miraculously escape the fire that supposedly killed him?
If you were watching EastEnders way back then, you’ll remember that after an argument Trevor threw a lit match onto the floor which caused the whole house to go up in flames.
Mo and stepson Sean escaped the fire but Trevor was inside when the house exploded.
Well, it would certainly be a turn-up for the books if he did reappear!
