Emmerdale fans, cast and crew pay tribute to writer after her sad death

Emmerdale paid tribute to writer Helen Childs at the end of an episode she had written, after her recent sad death.

As the credits rolled on the episode the screen showed a message for Helen, who passed away unexpectedly recently.

Helen had written more than 30 episodes of the show and was popular with fans thanks to her brilliant Robron episodes.

As soon as the news was out, fans took to social media to share their condolences – with some even making videos of their favourite Helen-Childs-penned moments from recent episodes.

“Thank you for sharing your talent with us and creating beautiful scripts,” wrote one fan.

“She was a brilliant writer,” agreed another.
