Ok, we’re the first to admit that we didn’t exactly love Karen Taylor when she first rocked up in Walford, looking like she was just going to be a loud mouthed trouble-maker.
But we’ve warmed to the single mum over the past few months, particularly after moving scenes with her daughter, Bernadette.

She’s also proved she has a good heart and will do anything for her family – even borrow money from a dodgy loan shark.
The Taylors finances have been desperate for some time and Karen recently borrowed some cash to feed and clothe her kids, after Keanu failed to find a job.
Unfortunately, Karen didn’t think too much about the consequences of not paying back money borrowed from such a questionable source.
Next week loan shark Lloyd goes to great lengths to intimidate the Taylors.
First, Karen is sent into a panic when she hears that a stranger has collected her twin sons, Chatham and Riley, from their after-school club.
She’s left shaken when the stranger brings them home and she realises it’s Loan Shark Lloyd.
Karen is distraught by the very sinister message Lloyd sent by taking the boys – she starts desperately selling the family belongings in a bid to raise the money to pay him off.
It’s no use though and Lloyd turns up again, this time refusing to leave until he gets what he is owed.
Karen is staggered by his ruthlessness as he tells her what he plans to take in order to settle her debt.
Despite Keanu trying to defend his family, Lloyd makes his move and leaves the family shocked.
Later, Linda Carter reaches out to Karen and is horrified to find out how much trouble she’s in.

Linda promises to help Karen raise the cash to pay Lloyd off once and for all.
But what will Mick say, considering the Carters are also struggling to get money together?
