Fans delighted to see Ruth Langsford and Eamonn Holmes ‘taking a well-deserved break’

TV presenters Ruth Langsford and Eamonn Holmes won’t have much opportunity to get away over the summer as they cover for Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby on This Morning.

But as their seven-week run on the ITV daytime programme continues, it seems they may have managed to squeeze in a quick – and luxurious – break in Turkey.

Both stars gave their Instagram followers a glimpse into their trip abroad earlier today – with many fans glad to see Ruth smiling again just weeks after losing her elder sister Julia.

She had taken a leave of absence from her telly duties following the announcement Julia’s passing in late June before returning to TV screens just a few days ago.

“Oh, we do like to be beside the seaside,” she captioned a sunny photo of her and her hubby near the coast in Bodrum.

And Eamonn also excited his social media fans with a shot of the couple standing in front of a very scenic view containing many shades of blue.

“The colours, the view, the sea breeze, the sun on our faces,” he commented.

Hinting the couple needed some time away following their family loss, Eamonn added: “Refresh and Restore.”

The couple’s supporters couldn’t have agreed more – and wished both Ruth and Eamonn all the best for their hols.

“Sending love to you both. You deserve a refresh and restore,” agreed one commenter.

“Well deserved good to see Ruth with a smile god bless x,” remarked another.

A third person agreed: “You deserve a well needed break ❤️ lovely couple xxx.”

My lovely Sis Julia has sadly died after a very long illness. My heart is completely broken. She was the kindest and most gentle soul and I will miss her forever. As I am sure you will appreciate I need to take time to grieve with my family. Thank you for your understanding.
