Fans have reacted to the sacking of Emmerdale star Asan N’Jie after he was pulled in for “crisis talks” at Emmerdale.
Ahead of the ITV announcement, many of the show’s fans had called for the actor to be fired.
Asan, who played the soap’s Ellis Chapman for a year, was involved in a fracas with Hollyoaks star Jamie Lomas on Monday night.
The soap newcomer allegedly threatened to “kill” the Channel 4 star.
According to The Mirror, Asan said to Jamie: ““Do you think you are a f*****g big man? I’m going to f*****g kill you. I’m going to f*****g knife you.”

The paper reported that the pair had to be “pulled apart” twice by security.
It didn’t take long for Emmerdale fans to speak out about the incident, with many calling for the young star – who has recently been involved in a knife crime storyline – to be sacked.

Fans also responded to reports that Asan was set to meet Emmerdale bosses to beg for a “second chance” on the show.
Asan from #Emmerdale has threatened to stab and kill another human yet @ITV are contemplating giving him another chance?? Do all those innocent people who have been stabbed to death mean nothing?? You’ll make it look like knife crime is okay at a time when knife crime is high

However, while some urged show bosses to “give him a chance”, it seems the writing was on the wall for the Emmerdale star.

A statement released on September 11 read: “Emmerdale suspended Asan N’Jie yesterday pending further investigation into an incident at a central London hotel on Monday night.”
It added: “ITV executives have met with him this morning and, as a consequence, Asan’s contract has been terminated with immediate effect.”
Fans praised show bosses for making “the right decision” and said Asan was lucky that the incident wasn’t reported to police.

Should be arrested for threats of violence, too.

Due to his unacceptable behaviour, I think #Emmerdale made the right choice in axing Asan N’Jie from the soap!
