Chas Dingle has found herself unexpectedly expecting – and her head’s in a whirl!
While she already decided that she wants to terminate her pregnancy, boyfriend Paddy isn’t so sure. Except he agreed with Chas when she told him her plan.
But in last night’s episode the cute couple finally told each other the truth about how they were feeling – leaving fans heartbroken as Chas confessed WHY she doesn’t want another child.
Paddy had told Marlon the news and admitted he was keen to have a baby – but Chas was still in the dark about her fella’s true feelings.
Until a woman arrived in the pub with Paddy’s wallet, and explained he’d left it in her shop – her baby shop – when he was buying a cuddly toy. She congratulated Chas on her pregnancy and told her how excited Paddy had said he was.
Uh-oh.
Chas went round to confront Paddy and the pair finally admitted their true feelings. Paddy explained how much he enjoyed being a dad to Aaron and Leo, and how desperate he was to have his own biological child.
“This could be my last chance,” he said.
But Chas wasn’t budging – and she revealed her heartbreaking reason was because of the abuse Aaron suffered at the hands of his dad, Gordon.
Paddy tried to make her see it wasn’t her fault, but she continued to blame herself for not spotting the signs – and for leaving Aaron with his dad in the first place.
“You would be the best dad,” she told Paddy. Before adding: “But with me as its mum, this kid would be better off not being born.”
The Emmerdale fans were devastated by Chas’s admission and begged the pair to put their differences aside.
“Pleeeeeaaaaase let them keep the baby,” begged one soppy fan.
“This would be great,” agreed another viewer.

“They need to have the baby,” said another. “Look how amazing they are with Aaron.”
And fans agreed with Paddy that Chas shouldn’t blame herself.

“She still has so much guilt about that monster Gordon,” pointed out one fan.
“My heart is breaking for Chas,” said another.
And another simply begged: “STOP SPLITTING UP PADDY AND CHAS”
