Some EastEnders fans have only just realised the connection between Big Mo actress Laila Morse and Hollywood star Gary Oldman – they are brother and sister!
It’s no secret that the pair are siblings, but a collection of soap fans have only just twigged… And the realisation prompted some amusing Twitter posts.

One surprised Twitter fan exclaimed: “How mental is it that Gary Oldman and Laila Morse aka Big Mo from Eastenders are brother and sister.”

We’re sure Laila was one of the first to congratulate Gary on his Oscar win at the weekend, when he walked away with the prize for Best Actor for his role in Darkest Hour.
Gary, 59, and Laila, 72, grew up together in South East London.

When he shot to fame, he cast his older sister in his autobiographical film Nil By Mouth in 1997, which he wrote and directed.
Laila comes back to Walford as Mo Harris next week, after an absence of two years.
She’ll return with some bad news for her great-niece Stacey Slater.
