Corrie fans spotted a blunder in their favourite soap last night and were quick to pull the writers up on it.

In Tuesday night’s episode of the ITV serial drama (26 June), Eva was distraught after her daughter Susie rolled off a sofa and landed on the floor.

The little tot suffered a head injury and was rushed to get medical treatment – leading grandfather Johnny to call social services on devastated mum Eva.

But, say fans, Susie could NEVER have rolled off the sofa in the first place as she’s just too young.

In upsetting scenes, new mum Eva took her eyes off her baby for a few seconds.

Susie then cried out as she landed on the floor and hurt her head.

Panicking as her daughter went floppy, Eva dashed to the medical centre with unlikely ally Peter Barlow by her side.

After a telling off, Dr Gaddas told the frantic mum that her daughter was okay and Coronation Street fans released a collective sigh of relief.

But some were quick to point out that two-month-old Susie could not have rolled in the first place.

Others mocked the loud and, they believe, unrealistic ‘thud’ that Susie made when she hit the floor.

One pointed out: “Isn’t Susie too young to roll?”

Another blasted: “[Bleep] I nearly chocked laughing when the baby fell off the sofa. The sound of the clunk hahaha.”

Another joked: “Susie is a gymnast judging by that speedy thump.”

A fourth added: “I’m sorry but what newborn baby can roll???”

When vengeful Johnny heard about the accident, he did the unthinkable and called social services – who visited Eva later that day.

Most fans were furious with Johnny, and agreed with a furious Eva when she vowed to stop him having any future contact with his granddaughter.
