Fans praise Ferne McCann as she returns to This Morning

The star hasn't hosted the show since her ex-boyfriend was charged with a London nightclub acid attack

Pregnant Ferne McCann has returned to presenting on This Morning for the first time since her ex-boyfriend Arthur Collins was charged with an acid attack in a London Nightclub.

The 26-year-old was hosting a segment from a children’s hospice, Julia’s House, showing the amazing work they are doing for Children’s Hospice Week.

Viewers were more than happy to have Ferne back on the show.

One fan wrote on Twitter: “Aww ferne @fernemccann looking beautiful and great presenting skills #ThisMorning [sic].”

“Aww it’s so lovely to see Ferne back. #ThisMorning,” another added.

A third tweeted: “Seeing you bubbly on This Morning looking gorgeous as always has just brightened up my morning!”

Before the show the star tweeted: “Tune in to @thismorning from 10:30 where I’m at @Julias_House talking about all the fantastic work they do here #ChildrensHospiceWeek,” alongside a snap of herself with some of the children.

Shortly after she wrote another message revealing the visit had left her with a “touch of baby brain”.

She said: “Touch of baby brain this morning  but I had a lovely morning at this fantastic place with great kids @Julia_House @thismorning.”

Earlier this month the reality star broke down on the show following news of her ex’s awful attack and finding out she was expecting his baby.

The emotional interview was the first time Ferne had spoken out since it was revealed she was pregnant.

Trying to hold back tears Ferne told hosts Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby: “Messages on Instagram have been so touching and so humbling, that is what I am so grateful for.

“I think that is what gets me the most; people’s kindness. It’s been lovely.”

She added: “Being in the public eye I was concerned, and thought the public will judge me, have an opinion which they are entitled to do.

“But I didn’t need to worry because the public have been so amazing and so supportive.”

But the Essex beauty said she’s concentrating on the positives.

“It’s not how I imagined my first pregnancy, but it’s not about me, it’s about the baby. My main concern and priority is my baby.

“It’s a blessing,” she said.

Following the interview Ferne thanked her fans for “all the support” in a post on Instagram.

Alongside a photo from her chat on the show she wrote: “I wanted to thank you all for the support and kind messages over the last few weeks.

“I’m overwhelmed and so grateful, your kind words have meant the world – from the bottom of my heart – THANKYOU.”
