Coronation Street’s Kate Connor (Faye Brooks) is facing the wrath of Kana fans after outing her secret lover Rana Nazir during last night’s double bill.

Fans were furious when Kate revealed to Rana’s husband Zeedan that they’d been having an lesbian affair as he raged, accusing every male in the Bistro of sleeping with his wife.
He’d even lunged at Robert Preston, convinced he was Rana’s secret lover.
Poor Zee was beyond confused at Kate’s confession, saying: “You’re talking about my wife, my wife, and she’s not gay. Half the time she can’t stand the sight of you.”
An emotional Kate then told Zeedan that they’d fallen in love and couldn’t help themselves.
She then revealed they’d slept together five or six times, but the affair was now over.
A devasted Rana berated Kate for telling Zeedan, but Kate said she had to.
Viewers took to Twitter to slam Kate for outing her lover, saying it wasn’t her secret to reveal.
“Seriously #corrie why did you rush that. Kate should not have been the one to out Rana,” wrote one annoyed fan.
“the ONE thing this fandom didn’t want was Kate outing Rana,” raged another.
A third commented: “corrie are really out here trying to ruin kana… kate promised to support rana whenever she was ready and now she’s not even checking up on her? she knows how terrified she was.”
Fans then slammed Kate further for casually going home and cracking open a beer, while poor Rana was kicked out on the street by Zeedan, who forced her to give her wedding rings back.
“You’re not my wife anymore,” he yelled before slamming the door in her face.
Rana was left outside alone, having been outed to pretty much the whole street by Kate, who’s supposed to care for her.
