Ever since her former boyfriend and baby daddy Arthur Collins was arrested and subsequently jailed, Ferne McCann’s life has come under close scrutiny.
Many of her fans have questioned how the former TOWIE star, 27, would cope with bringing up her little daughter Sunday on her own, and whether she would eventually find love again.
Well, in a new interview with The Sun’s Fabulous magazine, Ferne has spoken candidly about her current situation and her plans for the future.
And by the sound of things, she’s in no rush to welcome a new man into her life.
Ferne told the magazine: “[A relationship] would have to be something I gave a lot of thought to, but it’s so not on my radar. I think women are different to men – men need someone and I don’t think we do.
“I used to think I [needed a man]. Ever since I was 14, I always had to be texting someone or having the thrill of the chase, and now I’m just, like: ‘Whatever.'”
Earlier this week she revealed in a clip from her ITV Be show First Time Mum that she’s not got intimate with a man in a very long time.
“I’ve not had sex in a year, do you know that? I swear to god,” she laughed.
“It’s been 365 days, it’s been a long time… why do I say these things in public?”
The reality star, who gave birth to her daughter in November, has suggested that having a new man around the house would be a bit of a culture shock.
She explained: “I can’t imagine myself raising Sunday with a partner, because that’s not the norm for me. I do it on my own and I don’t know any different.”

Just a couple of months back, Ferne suggested that she WAS up for a new relationship, and even hinted that she’d met someone.
She told The Sun on Sunday: “There is someone older who has been a confidant — who’s been there for me emotionally.
“I’d hardly call it a relationship; it’s in the early stages. I’ve only just had a baby, after all, and Sunday still sleeps in the same bed as me. I have no idea whether it will develop, but he knows that I can’t rush things.
“I’m definitely open to finding love again because I’m a romantic at heart. But it has to be when the time is right. Right now, it’s just me and Sunday, and I feel very lucky.”
However, earlier this month, The Sun Online reported that the Essex-born star was ‘single again’.
A source told the news website: “Ferne would consider herself single right now – she’s taking her time when it comes to relationships and, as always, her priority is Sunday.”
