Ooooh… you can tell it’s getting closer to Christmas because every celeb and their mother is releasing a book.
But it’s the one by ex-1Der Zayn Malik that is exciting us most. Why? Because it’s been described as “explosive and full of secrets”!
And from that, we’re hoping it’s packed with amazing insights into his shock splits from One Direction and his Little Mix ex Perrie Edwards.
And to get us in the mood for his eagerly-anticipated tome, Zayn has wickedly teased us with a pic of himself playing the geetar without a shirt on, accompanied by the caption, “One week left until the book drops.. loads of new pics for you guys Xx”. And boy, we can’t wait!
The supercool whippet thin pop star has promised fans that the book will give the “full story”, teasing, “I’m going to show you as much as I can so that you can judge me on my own terms, not on what the press or anyone else says.”
Well, we hope that means he will be as honest as dear Perrie Edwards has been of late…
As we all know, Perrie has been pretty vocal about their time together.
Not only is Little Mix’s’ latest single Shout Out To My Ex believed to be directed at Zayn, she’s also opened up about their time together in Little Mix’s new stocking filler Our World, revealing for the first time about just how tough their split was on her.
“It was horrible, the worst time in my life,” she recalls. “A four-year relationship, two year engagement ended by a simple text message. Just like that.”
But what we want to know is, will Zayn offer his side of that story? Will he explain what really happened between him and Perrie? Who knows? But we really hope there’s a bit of juice in the book and not just a bunch of artsy fartsy pics.
The only bit of the book we’ve seen so far sees the big Z throw a bit of shade at his old bandmates, admitting that now as a solo star he can write songs that he wants to write – i.e. pervy stuff.
“I was also able to sing about a subject that I hadn’t really been able to go near while I was in One Direction: sex.” Er, alright then. But Zayn, we want you dish more than just songwriting tales. We want dirt! And lots of it! But we guess, we’ll just have to wait and see when the book hits shelves next week.
But while we’re loving the idea of Zayn and Perrie spilling on their pasts, there is one person in the (Little) mix who isn’t so happy about it – Zayn’s current squeeze, Gigi Hadid.
According to reports, she is apparently sick and tired of Perrie bleeting on and on about her beau and wants to meet up with Perrie for a showdown to sort things out once and for all.
“Gigi’s asked Zayn to get in touch with Perrie and set up a meeting, just between the two girls, so she can make it clear that she wants her to stop talking about Zayn,” a source told a magazine, with a questionable history of reliablilty.
“She feels she’s never going to truly get Perrie out of her and Zayn’s life until she meets her face-to-face and sorts things out. She’s really keen to assure Perrie that she wasn’t with Zayn when he was still in the relationship with her”.
If that story is true, we’d sell our granny to be a fly on that wall!
Zayn’s book is published next week.
