There’s a pitter patter of tiny First Dates feet…
Less than a year after being paired on the popular matchmaking show, Aarron Stewart, 32, and Ibiba Mudada, 28, have welcomed their first child, a daughter named Aziza.
“She is the star in our home now,” said Ibiba, in an interview with the Mail on Sunday.
Viewers saw how the couple were instantly smitten when they sat for dinner at the restaurant. They met on June 10 last year and Ibiba fell pregnant just seven weeks later – before their episode was screened last October.
“It’s true that our meeting and the speed with which we’ve started a family is certainly far from traditional,” says Ibiba.

“And it is hardly ideal to do everything so fast. But that is the nature of modern Britain.”
Added Aarron: “Right now Aziza is the most important thing in our world.
“But convention and tradition are both very important for us, so buying a home and getting married will be our next goals.”
Ibiba has spoken about how it was love at first sight.
“I was trying to keep it cool but I fancied him so much,” she recalls. “I loved his long eyelashes and really genuine smile.”

She was shocked when she found out she was expecting.
“When I found out I was pregnant, I wasn’t sure how he would react,” she said. “It was so soon.”
The couple, who both have children from previous relationships, were perfectly matched by producers.
They discovered they lived just two minutes away from each other in Bristol. And they were even more shocked when they realised that Ibiba’s mum, Mufane, and Aarron’s dad, Kenroy, both Jamaican-born social workers, had been colleagues for 10 years.
“Never in a million years would either of us have believed we would fall in love at first sight,” says Ibiba.
“And certainly not on national television. I certainly didn’t think it was possible.”
