And the moment he opens up to a police officer about his horrific ordeal has been revealed.
In a devastating first look clip posted by the ITV soap on their official website tells an investigating officer that Josh drugged and raped him during a night out.
Clearly struggling with having to speak about the vile attack out loud, David tells the officer: “I don’t remember much about getting back to his flat because he drugged me.”
The copper asks: “How do you know he drugged you?”
“Because he told me,” David replies. “He told me that he’d slipped GHB in my drink.”
“The rest of it is just a blank,” he recalls. “I remember bits. I remember him trying to touch my leg and I was trying to push him off.”
The officer, who is hugely sympathetic to David’s confession, later asks him about the pain he felt which led to him realising he’d been raped.
“Where was it? What kind of pain?” he asks, which causes David to break down. “Take your time David, I know these are difficult questions but we have to be specific.”
David tearfully replies: “I hate this. I hate him that I have to be here, that I have to go through all this while he’s out there.”
