Former EastEnders actress Louisa Lytton has revealed to Lorraine Kelly that she would be open to going back to the soap that made her famous.
Appearing with the host to talk about her upcoming role as Rizzo in a UK tour of Grease alongside The Wanted’s Tom Parker, who she also competed with on winter sports’ show The Jump, Louisa talked about her time on the soap and how it had shaped her.
Louisa joined the EastEnders cast in 2005 as gangster Johnny Allen’s daughter, Ruby. She was just 15 at the time and after just over 18 months, and a lot of drama, she departed Walford in November 2006.

After leaving the show, Louisa went on to a successful stint on Strictly Come Dancing and then joined the cast of The Bill.
Despite her career flourishing post-Enders, Louisa revealed to Lorraine that she wouldn’t be against the idea of reprising the role of Ruby at all.
Lorraine asked her: “Could she come back and would you want to?”
Louisa quickly responded: “Yes, I’m not dead!
“I left in the back of a taxi, like most characters,” she continued. “I could go back, but I’ve got no family left there, so that would be an issue.
“But Stacey’s still in the show – Lacey Turner – we were best friends, so I could go back, there’s always a possibility.”

She spoke warmly of her time on the soap, insisting it was a great place to start out.
“I loved it, loved my time there, of course I did. It was my launching pad.
“I was still at school and doing my GCSEs at the time. I started filming, had a few weeks off to do my GCSEs, and then I was straight into a full-time job. It was mad, but I loved it.
“At that age you take everything in your stride, if that was my first job now, I’d find it more daunting.”
During her time on the Square, Ruby got involved in several bad relationships, including one with Stacey’s brother, Sean Slater, as well as discovering the truth about her father Johnny and his dodgy dealings.
She fell out with Stacey before she left the Square, but could a return signal a make up for the pair, and a friend for Stace at last?
