Former Emmerdale star Sheree Murphy is no stranger to Soapland.
As well as starring as Tricia Dingle in the Yorkshire-set soap between 1998 and 2004, she also appeared in Hollyoaks for a year in 2010/11 as Eva Strong, and most recently had a stint in Neighbours as Paul Robinson’s former flame Dakota Davies in 2014.
And now she’s confessed to Rochelle Humes on Lorraine that she would love the opportunity to star in one of the other soaps.

Rochelle asked the former Celebrity MasterChef competitor whether she was missing soaps. To which, Sheree replied:
“I am. I love soap life, I love everything about being on a soap, you’re with the same people all the time, you get to know your character, it’s just the best job ever.
“I did Hollyoaks for about a year and then I did Neighbours, I love it and I would never say no to another one, definitely.”
She also talked about how her time on the popular Aussie soap came about: “I did Neighbours, we lived in Australia when my husband was playing football out there, so we lived in Melbourne on and off for three years.
“The opportunity came up and then the next thing I’m standing in Lassiters kissing Paul Robinson, which was bizarre but great!”
With just EastEnders, Coronation Street and Home and Away left to cross off her list, Sheree admitted she’d really love a part on one of the British-based shows.
“Would you work on another soap?” Rochelle asked.
“Absolutely, I love EastEnders, I love Corrie, gosh, yeah, if anyone would like me then yeah. Absolutely,” Sheree replied looking directly at the camera as she spoke seemingly to the soap casting directors!

Sheree is hosting a new series of Yes Chef on BBC One where professional chefs are paired with amateurs.
Rochelle is standing in for Lorraine while the regular host has a holiday, and has already been forced to apologise twice this week for guests swearing.
Bridget Jones creator Helen Fielding was the first to use bad language on Monday’s show, and then this morning Hollywood actress Jordana Brewster let a naughty word slip.
Thankfully, Sheree was on her best behaviour and didn’t put a foot wrong!
