Roxanne Pallett has announced her engagement to steel worker boyfriend Lee Walton.
The former Emmerdale actress, 36, told OK! Magazine that Lee, 40, proposed just ONE WEEK after they first met in person, following several months of chatting online.
Roxanne said: “We were engaged within a week of meeting! I know it sounds crazy, but I knew my heart.”

They initially met on the internet in summer 2017 though their mutual love of Elvis Presley.

Lee told the magazine he’d been searching for news about Elvis on social media one night when he came across a photo Roxanne had posted during a visit to Elvis’ Graceland home.
They began chatting online and then finally met in person in December.

Roxanne recalled: “When I walked into the pub and saw him I thought, oh my God, you’re real. I just flung my arms around him and it was like we’d been together forever. We were kissing within five minutes!”
Lee said: “I couldn’t look her in the eyes because she was the most beautiful thing I’d ever seen.”
The proposal came while the couple were getting ready for a night out.

Lee told the mag he’d been watching Roxanne dancing around and asked her to move in with him. “She agreed and on our first night living together I was looking at her, thinking, God I love you,” he recalled.
“And then I just said: ‘Will you marry me?'”
Lee didn’t have a ring at the time because it was a spontaneous proposal so instead the couple had matching tattoos inked on their wedding ring fingers.

When Lee did get the ring, he re-proposed to Roxanne.
She wears the sparkling diamond on her right hand, though, because she doesn’t want to cover up her tattoo ring.
Lee may have to get used to life without Roxanne for a few weeks, though, as she’s been heavily tipped to enter the Celebrity Big Brother house when the show kicks off this Thursday on Channel 5.
According to unconfirmed reports in the Daily Star, the ex soap star has been offered a £750,000 deal to become a housemate.

Roxanne, however, kept tight-lipped when chatting to OK! Magazine, saying she’s been offered the show multiple times over the years but always turned it down because the timing wasn’t right.

But she did drop a strong hint the rumours could be right…
“This year, since moving into radio and getting my own breakfast show, I’ve gained more confidence showing the real me,” she said.
“I’m more open minded, so who knows?”

Roxanne’s happy news comes just weeks after she was airlifted to hospital after crashing a racing car into a concrete wall.
The star had been taking part in a stock car race for her radio show when the incident happened.
She later told ITV’s Good Morning Britain she felt “lucky to be here” and had suffered sprained wrists and severe bruising.
