Former Corrie actor Ian Puleston-Davies who played Owen Armstrong has revealed that he would love his character to come back to the cobbles to kill off his Nemesis, Pat Phelan.
Ian played Owen, who was Anna Windass’ love interest, and it’s basically all down to him that Phelan and Anna were mortal enemies.

Owen was last seen leaving the Street, heartbroken because his relationship with Anna had broken down.
Anna had slept with Phelan in an indecent proposal type transaction where Phelan let Owen and Gary off some serious debt, if they spent the night together.
Even though she only went through with it for Owen, he ultimately couldn’t deal with the fact she’d been with the villain.
Rumours have been circulating that Owen should come back and avenge Anna, who was sent down for five years earlier this week after being framed by Phelan.
Only this time there rumours might actually have some substance as Ian himself has said he would love Owen to finish off Phelan.
Speaking to TV Times, Ian said: “People are always asking me when I’m going to go back in and finish him off.
“I would have liked the two of them to have had a final showdown on the cobbles, a High Noon encounter! Owen needs to come down from Aberdeen and sort him out once and for all. It could still happen!”
Could you imagine? It would be better than Superman vs. Batman!
Meanwhile Corrie fans have convinced themselves that Phelan’s days are pretty much numbered after outgoing boss Kieran Roberts made a cameo in last night’s double-bill, bidding farewell to Phelan.

He said ta-ra and wished him a nice holiday, but fans are convinced it was Roberts dropping a hint that Phelan’s comeuppance is in the post.
Coronation Street continues tomorrow at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on ITV
