Harry Derbidge has revealed how he suffered from an eating disorder growing up, but has now made a full recovery.
The reality star posted a transformation photo on Instagram with a touching message thanking his friends and family for their support throughout his struggle.
The 23-year-old said he had a “fear of food” and that he could only eat two mouthfuls of food a day.
His before and after pic says it all. Looking very slim on the left, aged 16, Harry is almost unrecognisable in his present day image.

Explaining his past to his Instagram followers, he wrote: “#transformation 💁🏼♂️ my journey with an eating disorder was a struggle and I know I’m not a muscle pump up pete now but where I am right now I have never felt and looked better in myself.
“🙌🏼 The image on the left aged 16 I was 7 stone and very unhealthy and could go a day without eating, I also had a fear of food which can be diagnosed as a ‘food phobia’. I had made my stomach so tiny that I could eat 2 bites of food and be full which was very unhealthy and made me very weak. [sic]”
Harry, who is the cousin of ex-TOWIE star Amy Childs, then added that he now eats three to four meals a day.
Thanking his mum, he wrote: “My mum who is also my best friend was by my side and helped me overcome this and with months of making myself sick with the phobia of trying new foods I have now overcome the eating disorder and feel so amazing now when I eat and I feel stronger, healthy and happier in myself.”
Finishing his confession to his 71,000 followers, he said: “🙌🏼 Now all I need is a cute six pack 🙌🏼 #positivevibes”, and used the hashtags: “#healthy #healthylifestyle #eatingdisorderrecovery #eatingdisorder #menshealth”.
Harry, who works for fashion brand Forever On Trend, has even found the confidence to post images of him in his underwear.
His fans are delighted for him too and couldn’t wait to praise him for how well he’s doing now.
One wrote alongside his transformation pic: “Thank you for sharing your story I’m sure it will help others. I wish you all the best and by the way you look fabulous ❤️❤️”.
