The former Men Behaving Badly star says that he hated working on the show because he was so overworked.
He also slammed the writers by claiming the scripts he had to read were dire.
Sounds like a bit of a grump, doesn’t he?
Speaking in an interview with Two Shot Podcast, he explained why he disliked the experience so much and revealed that the stress of it ended up having a terrible effect on him at home.
“I hated that show,” he raged. “I hated it so much.”
“Even my missus said you’ve got to get out of this show because its making you a nasty person.
“I was angry every day because the delivery of the scripts and the quality of them was so awful and I was tied into it.
He went to explain that the work schedule was pretty tough on him and he grew to hate his time on the show more and more.
“It was like forced labour,” he said.
“As a responsible actor I wanted to give 100% but I was compromised by it being awful scripts and an awful situation.
“It was seven to seven every day and really, really hard. Six months of six-day weeks.
“I didn’t enjoy it at all.
I get tense when I start to talk about it.”
