Four Corrie stars reveal the fate of their characters

What is next for Bethany, David, Eva and Nicola?

Four of Coronation Street’s biggest stars chatted to This Morning hosts Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby today, revealing details of their character’s futures on the show.

While Lucy Fallon revealed there is set to be yet more fall out following her huge storyline last year where her character Bethany Platt was the victim of grooming, Jack P Shepherd talked about what was next for David Platt.

Catherine Tyldesley who plays Eva Price chatted about her departure from the show this summer, and Nicola Thorp who plays Nicola Rubinstein explained what we could expect from Phelan’s return to the Street next week.

Lucy admitted there is lots more to come from Bethany’s grooming storyline, and that it would effect the whole Platt family. The actress told Holly and Phillip: “We’re going to see the story revisited in a different kind of way.

“At the moment we’re currently filming the development of the storyline which will come as a surprise not just to Bethany but all of the Platts so it’s very exciting.”

Catherine and Jack were remaining surprisingly tight-lipped about each of their character’s futures.

Catherine revealed that she has got some juicy storylines to come before Eva bows out of the show in the summer, while Jack said David would need to decide what to do next in the wake of telling Shona about Josh’s rape.

The actor said David would need to decide if he was going to tell the police, or whether he would “take matters into his own hands.”

Nicola admitted that next weeks Phelan scenes were going to be huge, revealing: “It’s been the most exciting couple of months of filming for me to be thrown in the deep end.

All I will say is there’s a gun, there’s a baby, and there may be blood.”

Coronation Street airs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on ITV.
