Frankie Bridge skipped the star-studded ITV gala on Thursday night to care for her poorly son.
The former Saturdays singer shared a heartfelt Instagram post showing her cuddling up to little Parker, four, who has been suffering from the childhood condition croup.
Looking exhausted and concerned, the popstar could be seen staring at the camera while her young son snuggled in to her neck.
She told fans: “The face of a proud, emotionally drained mum who’s child has been really poorly and scared her half to death and a child who is the prime example of how well and quickly they bounce back (sic).”

The star continued: “This little man is so full of love and this surprise hug felt more amazing than he will ever know… not sure who was looking after who…?
“No ITV gala for this mumma tonight… all home now so cuddles and Christmas movies are the order of the day.
“Croup is not our friend….”
Croup is a childhood condition that can cause symptoms including difficulty breathing, a barking cough and a hoarse voice.
Frankie’s fans were quick to rally around the star and wish Carter well – while sharing their own experiences of caring for a child with croup.
One wrote: “It’s the worst feeling in the world, your baby being unwell! Hope he’s well!”
Another said: “My heart goes out to you all. Our 10-month-old was rushed to hospital with croup last year. It was literally the scariest moment of my life. Enjoy those cuddles and take care of yourselves.”
And a third added: “Scariest feeling as a mum – watching helplessly as they suffer. Hugs and prayers for a quick recovery. Lots of rest and TLC needed for you all xx.”
Frankie and her former footballer husband Wayne welcomed Parker, their first child, in October 2013.
A second son, Carter, followed two years later.

Speaking to the Daily Record last year, Frankie said: “Being married and having kids really makes you feel grown-up. As a wife, you have to learn to be a lot more selfless and know how to compromise.
“I’ve learnt so much from becoming a parent, about what the really important things in life are – and basically, if my two boys are happy, then I’m happy.”
Get well soon, Parker!
