Gaz Beadle and Emma McVey announce name of new baby

Meet baby Chester

Gaz Beadle and Emma McVey welcomed their first son earlier this week, and now they’ve confirmed his name.

Both parents took to Twitter with adorable snaps of the baby to let their fans know what name they’d selected – Chester.

Emma shared a shot of the baby curled into a snug ball on a luxurious grey blanket from House of Merino.

The caption read, “Chester Raymond Beadle-McVey 💙 My world 🌍 we’ve forgotten what sleep is, had exploding poops, pee flying in the air, sick down everything I’ve worn and you still make me smile constantly 👶🏼 love you forever little man 💙”

Gaz posted a shot featuring the same blanket, with Chester lying on his back wearing an elephant print onesie.

His caption read, “Chester Raymond Beadle McVey 💙👶🏼 Chester not really sure why it kind of just came to us and we loved it…

“Raymond after my grandad of course… and a nice double barrel surname until we are married 😂😜…”

Gaz also used Instagram Stories to post a shot of Chester with a cute filter.

The doting new parents have each shared a few shots of their son in the past few days as they get used to parenthood.

Gaz showed he can multitask – looking after Chester while playing video games, while Emma posted an intimate shot of Chester sleeping in the crook of her neck.

But their first week as parents has included some stress – when Gaz posted a photo of himself feeding Chester from a bottle, the pair were attacked by trolls who assumed the photo meant Emma had decided not to breastfeed.

The replies became so brutal Gaz had to turn off comments on the post entirely, before posted another shot to Instagram Stories – showing Emma breastfeeding.

He protected her modesty with an emoji of a hand giving the fingers, in an attempt to silence the trolls.

Emma posted her feelings on the birth of her son earlier this week, alongside an Instagram photo.

“No words can describe today,” she said, “we are so in love with you little man and you’re absolutely perfect! 💙👶🏻 very healthy 6lbs2 with super long legs!”
