Gemma Atkinson looked incredibly ripped in a brand new photo from the gym today – but she was quick to reassure fans that it wasn’t representative of her every day appearance.
The former Emmerdale actress, 32, is well known for her love of working out and often posts updates to social media showing fans what she’s up to on the gym floor.
One picture shared on Saturday afternoon showed the soap star looking phenomenal as she was filmed getting ready to squat with heavy weights.

However, she was quick to reassure fans that she didn’t look like this every day.
Gemma explained: “FYI, I do not look like this day to day. This was my shoot day so I was super strict on the run up to it AND I trained before we shot to get that pre shoot “pump”.
“Don’t get worried about lifting weights ladies! Or think that that my muscles look like this daily from lifting.
“They 100% don’t.”
Gemma was flooded with compliments from fans praising her ripped body and dedication.
One impressed follower told her: “Amazing!!! Your physique just continues to improve!!! Respect!!!”
Another said: “You are incredible, discipline and beauty right there.”
A third added: “Awesome result and well deserved – you look fabulously fit!”
Gemma, who has also starred in Hollyoaks, embarked on an intense 12-week fitness programme back in May, to tone up her athletic figure even more.
Along the way she’s been updating fans on both the triumphs and downsides of her journey, and being brutally honest when she’s “struggled” with her workouts.
She recently admitted to “whinging” during a personal training session after making the wrong food choices in the days leading up to it.

The star candidly revealed last month how she’d indulged in cake, pizza, Pimm’s and sweets during four days of fun with friends and family.
She explained: “I felt happy and I was having a really good time so chicken & broccoli was the last thing on my mind if I’m honest.
“That said, all of the above is the reason I struggled… Like I keep saying in my blogs YOU ARE WHAT YOU EAT! I ate bad food, I feel physically bad. I have low energy, I’m lethargic, I’ve been ratty with my trainer evil Steve and I felt miserable all through my session and tired at work as well.”
“It’s crazy how your body reacts to “toxic” food,” she added.

“Yes, life is about balance & yes in a few weeks I’ll probably have another day where I eat the wrong stuff. But it’ll just be the 1 day. Not 4! To anyone wanting results, bear in mind ALL of the above. Don’t fall in to the trap of becoming sluggish because of bad food choices.
“Training for me is about my health and how I feel primarily over how I look. I want to feel good therefore I need to fuel my body with good nutrition.”
