Gemma Atkinson’s baby is going to be one VERY well-cared-for child.
Not only does he or she have the doting actress and daddy Gorka Marquez on hand, she’s also got big brothers, dogs Norm and Ollie – and one of them is apparently already on guard duty!
The soap actress took to Twitter and Instagram to share a sweet picture of her pet nosing at her bump. She wrote: “Guarding his new pack member… Dogs are just wonderful 😍.”
Her followers melted over the snap, with one commenting: “dogs are more intelligent than we think ! They are just awesome ❤️.”
Another added: “That is super cute xxx.” A third wrote: “Wow so cute xxx.”
Others shared their own adorable pooches being attentive, with one fan sharing: “My best friend looking after me as I’m poorly. My little nurse ❤️❤️❤️❤️.”
A second said” “Our @scout_cockapoo did this too 😍 and she’s super protective of our little boy now he’s here 💕.” While a third shared: “My Jack done that to me when I was pregnant with my two hope you’re ok hun sick bands and ginger bickies if ya sick, love to you all ❤️❤️❤️.”
Some also commented about their other pets, with one writing: “My cat does the same. They definitely have an instinct about these things. My cat knew I was pregnant before I did. Digging at my clothes and not leaving me alone. 🥰.”

Gemma also shared a video on InstaStories, revealing that she and Gorka are redecorating their house, ready for their new arrival.
She admitted: “We’re decorating, we’ve got no carpets, no kitchen.” She captioned the video: “Our house is a building site.”
It followed the sweet announcement of their happy news last week.
Gemma, 34, shared a snap on Instagram of her two dogs wearing signs that read: “Guess what, Mum’s pregnant. We’re going to be big brothers!”
And she captioned it for her 863k followers on Instagram: “Myself & Gorks are beyond excited and happy and feel incredibly blessed to be meeting our new family member later this year. Baby Marquez!!!
“We love you loads already @gorka_marquez.”
The pair have since been pictured looking happy but the Strictly Come Dancing contestant has also admitted to finding pregnancy “hard at times“.
