There is nothing more upsetting than seeing your pet looking all sad and vulnerable – and Gemma Atkinson knows that better than anyone right now.
The former Strictly Come Dancing star – who is pregnant with her first child – updated fans on her poorly Sproodle, Norman, after his recent operation, sharing some sweet pictures and videos.
Gemma, 34, told fans Norman, who was injured last week, was “back home” and “has his cone again post-op”.
She then shared a sad video of the little pup looking sad, sitting next to her boyfriend, professional dancer Gorka Marquez.
The pair spent Wednesday evening together at the BRIT awards, where Gemma looked amazing in a black dress with her bump on display.
And things seem better than ever for the dog co-parents, as Gorka, 28, shared a video on InstaStories of Gemma on the red carpet.
Pointing his phone’s camera at her, the Spanish dancer said: “There she is, the love of my life.”

It followed the former Hollyoaks and Emmerdale star sharing the “worst news” that Norman badly injured his leg while playing in a field on Monday.

Gemma, who was close to tears talking about what had happened, told her 896k followers: “I had the worst news today. Norman’s other cruciate ligament has gone so he needs to have another operation.
“I was out on the field with him and he was playing with a husky. He let out a massive yelp and lifted his leg up. I felt horrendous because I was on my own with him, and because I’m pregnant I couldn’t pick him up. He was leaning on my feet for me to comfort him and I couldn’t. So I felt [expletive].”
The star – who met Gorka on Strictly in 2017 – added: “I just had him in the vets for an X-Ray so he’s a bit groggy from his anaesthetic and they’ve confirmed it’s another cruciate ligament on the other leg, which I knew would happen at some point, so it’s another operation, and I can’t lift him upstairs with me in bed or anything and Gorks is gonna be on tour.
“Oh Norman, I love you so much buddy.”
Gemma, who is also dog-mum to Ollie, announced her baby news with help from her puppies, and has since revealed how protective they’ve become about her bump.
