Gemma Collins has said she’s “not deluded” about her upcoming stint on Dancing On Ice.
The TOWIE star, 37, told OK! Magazine she appreciates her Dancing On Ice partner may not be able to lift her during performances but she’ll still give the programme her all.
When asked if she was nervous about hurting herself on the ice, Gemma said: “A little bit but I’m going to be in good hands with whoever I’m partnered with.
“I’m not deluded. I know no one is going to be able to lift me up on the ice, but I’m going to throw myself into it and give the audience a good show.”
Gemma’s boyfriend James ‘Arg’ Argent also rubbished the suggestion Gemma would be a “bit of a joke act or quit” the show, insisting she is serious about skating.
“She’s going to prove all the doubters wrong,” he predicted.
“I’m very proud of her. I’m going to be in the audience every week cheering her on.”

Gemma’s partner for Dancing On Ice has yet to be revealed but the celebrities have all started training ahead of the show returning to ITV in January.
Her competitor, Loose Women’s Saira Khan, shared a photo to Instagram this week showing the celebs all together for the first time.

The snap showed Gemma and Saira with fellow contestants including Love Island’s Wes Nelson, ex-Strictly Come Dancing pro James Jordan, EastEnders actor Richard Blackwood and Coronation Street’s Jane Danson.
Former X Factor finalists Saara Aalto, ex-Westlife singer Brian McFadden, actor Mark Little, Pussycat Dolls’ Melody Thorton and cricketer Ryan Sidebottom were also present.
One contestant was missing: Grease movie icon Didi Conn.
Gemma was the first celebrity skater to be revealed for the new series of Dancing On Ice.
She was unveiled on This Morning, which is hosted by Dancing On Ice presenters Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield.
“As a young girl, my brother used to play ice hockey so I was at the ice rink quite a lot,” she said.
“I can remember seeing some white boots in the skating shop and I was like, ‘mum please let me be an ice-skater.'”
Gemma said she was under no illusions about how hard the show will be, but she’s going to train hard and do her best.
“I know how hard it is. I’ve done my research, don’t worry. I am scared, I am nervous, I don’t know how they’re going to lift me up and how fast I can move on the ice,” she said.
“But I really want to give it a go. I love the costumes. I want the fun-factor. It’s just something I think I really want to give this a go.”
She added: “I’m going for it! I’m literally going for it. I’m really, really up for it! I’m fully committed, I’ve cleared my diary.
“The training is going to be intense but I’ve heard you really shape up during the show, so I might come out with a dream body after all.”
