Just when you thought the drama surrounding Gemma Collins and Dancing On Ice was over, she has announced that she has fallen ill.
The 37-year-old The Only Way Is Essex star shared a video on Instagram Stories with fans, which showed her wrapped in a towel, make-up free and looking exhausted.
She told her followers she felt “so ill” but she insisted it wasn’t going to stop her rehearsing for the skating show.
She told the camera: “This is reality right now…
“I’m so ill but I’m at Dancing On Ice and nothing is going to stop me.”
She began excitedly shouting to the camera to show her enthusiasm, but she was quickly told to keep it down by a member of the team as they were backstage at rehearsals!
Gem didn’t say what her sickness was but she appeared watery-eyed and sounded very nasal in her video footage.
It comes after GC received a lowly score of just 13.5 for her performance with Matt Evers at the weekend. But she had lost out on some vital rehearsal time, after injuring her knee from falling on the ice the week before.
She was emotional after her performance on Sunday and later admitted that her skating “wasn’t up to scratch”.

After making it through on the public vote, the reality star wrote on Instagram: “My knight in shinning armour… @real_arg I don’t know what I’d do without his love & support!!! ❤️ Thanks for everyone that voted for me tonight, To have the public behind me means the world to me. My performance wasn’t up to scratch, Last weeks fall knocked my confidence but I promise to be back next week & better then ever, GC style!!!! ❤️ Can’t believe me and @themattevers have made it past the half way point, THANK YOU!!! 💕.”

Let’s hope she will make a speedy recovery in time for this week’s Dancing On Ice.
