Chantelle Connelly has been found guilty of punching a woman during a night out in Newcastle.
The former Geordie Shore star, 27, had denied assaulting the 22-year-old woman during a heated row in October, which left the victim with a broken wrist and needing stitches for a split lip.
However, Chantelle was found guilty of grievous bodily harm without intent on Friday, after a trial at Newcastle Magistrates’ Court.
The court heard Chantelle and the woman had not met before, but the victim recognised Chantelle from TV when they were introduced by a mutual friend at Bijoux bar.

After moving on to another bar, Chantelle was accused of getting jealous as she believed the woman had a connection to her ex-boyfriend Tommy Sayers, and repeatedly demanded to know if the victim had hooked up with Tommy.
When the victim walked off to get a taxi, Chantelle was accused of punching her in the face, causing her to fall to the ground and sustain injuries.
According to Chronicle Live, the victim told the court: “We were walking and Chantelle came from behind and jumped in front of my face and she hit me.
“She only hit me once, I don’t know with what hand. I fell to the floor and I could hear [another girl] shouting ‘Chantelle, there was no need for that’.
“I got back up, some boys came running over and picked me up. By that point, Chantelle had gone. I was covered in blood by that point.”
Chantelle had denied being at the scene of the attack and said she had been incorrectly identified.
Her lawyer had asked the court how could they be sure it was really Chantelle who had been talking to the victim, and not a wannabe pretending to be her.
She will be sentenced on July 5.
Chantelle quit Geordie Shore in 2016 after just one series, flying home from filming in Greece early.
She later explained her reasons for exiting the show, telling MTV News: “I left the show because I couldn’t stand living with two-faced people any longer.
“I find the house very snakey. I feel like I was the only one in the house that was real.”
